Following a visit to Hook, Wyvern was chosen to build a new organ for the Grand Hall, replacing an ageing pipe organ that was generally inadequate for the purpose.
The new organ has 37 speaking housed in a fine drawknob console and is required to support 500 people for assembly, teaching and the accompaniment of large Choral and Orchestral concerts. The sixteen audio channels are placed in the old pipe chamber and there are two console positions.
