As renowned builders of fine custom-built organs for churches of all sizes, we are still aware of the need for quality, yet affordable organs suitable for the smaller church or the home.
The original Wyvern MPS organs were particularly successful due in part to their Romantic style; the voicing is mellow and rounded and more to our British tastes. This latest range builds upon this success. In particular, the Minuet and Sonata models, already popular with smaller churches, now have new specifications and voicing that is unashamedly British.
At first sight, you’ll be impressed by the elegance of the oak consoles. On closer examination, you will find their advanced features even more striking. Most impressive of all is their fine tonal quality, achieved by using powerful multi-processors and high resolution 20 bit technology. This provides a high degree of tonal accuracy that ensures stops retain their individual character. Additional Multi Chorus Generators, produce ranks of slightly different tuning to create a ‘living’ sound producing rich choruses. These are compact but powerful organs ideal for the smaller church, school chapel or home environment. They are designed to appeal to professional organists, to whom quality of tone may be more important than an extensive stop list.
The organs have a typically British specification and are housed in oak consoles with illuminating stop tabs and programmable pistons. There is a choice of light or dark oak or at extra cost a wide range of different wood finishes.
All organs from the Sonata include a voice controller that displays settings such as Transposer, Piston Memory (optional), Pitch and Tremulant. The controller also allows the organist to adjust the voice characteristics of each stop including: chorus, tone, pitch, and volume and can also be regulated on a note-by-note basis.
All this combined with three independent voice settings makes it possible to produce three different organ characteristics in the one instrument. With an extensive range of further options available, it is possible to customise the organ to suit the requirements of the most discerning organist.
