Wyvern Toccata

OVERVIEW

The Toccata is a truly versatile organ either for the church or the home of the more experienced player. The range starts with the Toccata I (£8,950) a luxury two manual with 48 speaking stops, plus a choice of floating Positive or Choir that can be played on any manual and pedalboard. The Toccata II (£11,900) has the same specification but includes a physical third manual. The Toccata III (£13,500) has the addition of a floating Solo division that includes a Tuba on a dedicated audio channel and this division can be played on any department. They all feature programmable general and department thumb and toe pistons.

Detailed recordings have been made of individual stops taken from renowned pipe organs. Analysis of the sampled stops have enabled us to faithfully store the nature and timbre of the original in the organ memory. Powerful memories and dramatically faster processors allow swift data processing, creating a degree of realism hitherto thought impossible. Although the voicing is unashamedly British, an in built personal controller incorporates voicing tools that allow the organist to change the sound character to suit personal preferences. It can be set up as three different organs – in addition to the romantic specification, it can also be set up with French or Baroque alternatives.

The display also shows settings for transposer, piston memory, tuning and temperament, manual inversion and tremulant set up. There is also the ability to place the Pedal division under expression. Other voicing parameters include adjustments for pitch, wind noise, wind demand and regulation control for stop and individual note volume.

The Toccata console is impressive yet compact – the three manual versions are only 120 cm high. They all feature music desks adjustable for height and distance. They have a large built in audio system and a specification that ranges from a 32 ft Pedal Reed to a 5 rank Mixture.
