Standard Specification
As renowned builders of fine custom-built organs for churches of all sizes, we are still aware of the need for a range of quality, yet affordable organs suitable for the smaller church or chapel, or for the home. The original Wyvern MPS organs were particularly successful due in part to our Romantic voicing. Unlike most sound-sampled organs, the voicing is mellow and rounded and more to our British tastes. This latest range builds upon this success. In particular, the Minuet and Sonata models, already popular with smaller churches, now have new specifications and voicing that is unashamedly British.

At first sight, you’ll be impressed by the elegance of the oak consoles. On closer examination, you will find their advanced features even more striking. Most impressive of all though is their fine tonal quality. This is achieved by a powerful multi-processor, consisting of many micro-processors working in real time.

This uses high resolution 20 bit technology providing a high degree of tonal accuracy that ensures stops retain their individual character. Additional Multi Chorus Generators, produce ranks of slightly different tunings to create a "live" sounding instrument. This provides choruses that are far richer than other organs using sound sampling techniques.

To assist registration changes, stop combinations can be selected and assigned to general, or departmental pistons, depending upon the model. These are stored in long term memory until reset by the player.

Monobass is fitted to all organs and when switched on, the pedalboard is automatically disengaged yet the full range of pedal stops can be selected. A relevant pedal note is sounded ensuring the glory of ‘full organ’ is available to players of all levels. There is also a comprehensive range of other player controls fitted to all models. These include: transposer, monobass, Voice selector 1,2,3. chorus control 1-6, volume controls for master, pedal and reverb. They also have Midi In-Out-Thru, stereo audio In - Out and headphone socket.

The optional Wyvern Mini Loudspeaker System - MLS - can be specified for any organ. This is useful for home use, where the natural acoustics can be ‘dry’. The system comprises of an additional amplifier and two small bi-directional speaker cabinets, that can either be shelf or wall mounted. The digital reverberation channels are then amplified producing a convincing sound, or echo, from another area of the room, giving cathedral like acoustics in your own home.

These organs have handsome real wood veneer consoles with edges lipped in solid oak. They are all equipped with locking roll-top falls, pedal illumination, (except Prelude & Sonatina) and a bench with an integral music compartment. There is a choice of light or dark oak consoles plus other finishes available at extra cost.

Personalising your organ is possible straight from the console. A range of key programmable functions is a standard feature of all organs. This allows control over the following functions:

Reverb Time, Pitch, Windpressure Fluctuation, 6 Different Temperaments, Tremulant Speed and Depth, Pitch Change on Attack, Chiff, Manual Inversion (not Prelude).
